Fremont County school districts NEED substitute teachers!

You must be 18 years of age to attend the class.

This class if for students “who do not have a permit” with the Professional Teaching Standards Board. This permit is valid for five years and is eligible for renewal through continuing education credits.

There is no need to take this class if you have a permit from years past.  In order to renew, you must do the 5 credits (70 hours).

For those of you who have an Associate’s degree or sixty (60) semester hours from an accredited institution, you do not need to take this class. Visit wyomingptsb.com for the application and information. You will be doing the traditional route. 

DATES: August 12, 13, & 14, 2025 (All 3 days)

TIME: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
YOU MUST ATTEND ALL  THREE SESSIONS FOR CERTIFICATION – PLEASE CALL THE BOCES OFFICE TO CONFIRM THE CLASS IS STILL RUNNING. 

Please register by Friday August 1, 2025

BOCES Fee: $150.00

All classes will be held at Fremont County BOCES  (north side  of Rendezvous Elementary School, (blue door with sign.)

Location: 413 N. 4th St. West, Riverton, WY

Each participant will be required to provide a $150 payment at the time of registration. Names will not be added to the official roster until payment is received.  ATTENDANCE FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE. REFUNDED ONLY IF CLASS IS CANCELLED.

 No registrations or payments will be accepted the first day of class.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be required to apply to the State of Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board (PTSB) for their certification. PTSB will require applicants pay a $125 application fee for the application and fingerprint processing.
