DESCRIPTION:Are you looking for a part-time job with flexibility? \nFremont County school districts NEED substitute teachers! \nYou must be 18 years of age to attend the class. \nThis class if for students “who do not have a permit” with the Professional Teaching Standards Board. This permit is valid for five years and is eligible for renewal through continuing education credits. \nThere is no need to take this class if you have a permit from years past.  In order to renew\, you must do the 5 credits (70 hours). \nFor those of you who have an Associate’s degree or sixty (60) semester hours from an accredited institution\, you do not need to take this class. You will be doing the traditional route.  \nFremont County BOCES will be offering a certification class on the following dates: \nDATES: March 26- 28\, 2024 (All 3 days) \nTIME: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm\nYOU MUST ATTEND ALL  THREE SESSIONS – PLEASE CALL THE BOCES OFFICE TO CONFIRM THE CLASS IS STILL RUNNING \nPlease register by March 19\,2024 \nBOCES Fee: $150.00 \nFor more information please call 307-856-2028 or visit us at 413 N. 4th St. West\, Riverton\, WY. \nAll classes will be held at the Fremont County BOCES in the back of Rendezvous Elementary School. \nLocation: 413 N. 4th St. West\, Riverton\, WY \nIn order to log the required 24-hours for certification\, attendance to all 3 classes is mandatory. and will be taken at the beginning of each session. \nEach participant will be required to provide a $150 payment at the time of registration. Names will not be added to the official roster until payment is received. The attendance fee is non-refundable. \nVisit our website: www.fcboces.org to register  \n No registrations or payments will be accepted the first day of class. \nUpon successful completion of this course\, students will be required to apply to the State of Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board (PTSB) for their certification.
